Even a negative score in NEET PG can fetch you a Radiology or a Medicine seat: NMC reduces cutoff to Zero Percentile

So, what is the minimum % of marks you need to get admission in a private medical college in India?
30%? 20%? 10%?

No!
0%? Well, No!
Even getting negative marks can fetch you a Radiology seat
NMC, the MCI 2.0, has declared that even the students securing ‘0’ percentile in NEET PG are qualified to sit in the counselling. Well, these are definitely not the students who ever got selected into a government medical college in NEET UG. They must have had somehow cleared the professional exams ( contacts, may be!). Now they are all set to become specialists, thanks to the lakhs or crores of money their parents can afford to pay in seats auctioning: the upcoming Radiologists, the Physicians, the Surgeons!
On the contrary, there are no such exceptions, not even minor, made while declaring FMGE results where the pass percentage fluttters around 10 to 30%.
This is the reason why everyone was protesting again the bill when it came. How can you let those scoring zero percentile to get MD MS seats in private colleges? NMC has made it all the more easier for private medical colleges to charge exorbitant fees. Where is the merit?
